Douglas Wilson is an American pastor, author, and theologian best known as a leading figure in the Christian Reconstructionist and postmillennialist movement. He is the pastor of Christ Church in Moscow, Idaho, and a founder of New Saint Andrews College. Wilson has written extensively on Christian nationalism, biblical law, education, family, culture, and the relationship between Christianity and civil government. He is also associated with the CREC (Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches) and has been a prominent and controversial voice in contemporary Reformed Christianity, particularly for his advocacy of a distinctly Christian influence on society and government.

Jared Longshore is an American Reformed pastor, theologian, author, and Christian cultural commentator. He serves as Associate Pastor of Christ Church in Moscow, Idaho, and as Fellow of Theology and Undergraduate Dean at New Saint Andrews College. He has been involved in pastoral ministry since 2007 and holds an M.Div. and Ph.D. from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Our First Discussion with a Christian Nationalist

Our first discussion with Lennox Kalifungwa was a lengthy conversation examining the growing movement of Christian nationalism from a Seventh-day Adventist and religious-liberty perspective. The discussion focused particularly on church and state, Sunday legislation, the biblical Sabbath, the kingdom of Christ, and the prophetic implications of government-enforced religion. Kalifungwa presented a Reformed, postmillennial perspective emphasizing the transformation of culture through Christianity, while we challenged the idea of using civil power to advance Christian morality and highlighted the Adventist warning concerning the union of church and state.
